About the opportunity
Are you a self-motivated individual with experience in stores or warehouse operations? NSW Health Pathology - Westmead is seeking a Storesperson to join our small, supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and takes pride in ensuring smooth and efficient stock management.

As part of this role you will complete a number of tasks including receiving, storing, and distributing goods and materials accurately and efficiently, maintaining inventory records and ensuring stock levels are managed effectively and work collaboratively with a close-knit team to support laboratory operations. You'll also be expected to operate within safety and compliance standards.

We're looking for candidates with previous experience in a stores or warehouse role, with strong attention to detail and organisational skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team and someone with a proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.

In this role you will join a small, friendly team that values collaboration and contributes to the vital work of NSW Health Pathology in supporting healthcare across NSW.

What you'll be doing 
The Storesperson supports NSWHP-Westmead, under the direction of the NSWHP Westmead Operations, to deliver stores functions.   

The Storesperson is responsible for acquisition, storage and distribution of provisions, specimens and services to enable the laboratories to function in an efficient and effective manner in delivery of services to customers .

  1. Understanding of Stores Management in the Health Care industry or a recognised commercial or government store.
  2. Experience and understanding of inventory and stock management software.
  3. Suitable communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively as part of a team and to liaise confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
  4. Competent skills in computer use and relevant software programs eg Word, Excel and data base entry.
  5. Willingness to handle dangerous goods and hazardous substances.
  6. Current unencumbered NSW Class C Drivers License.
