About the Opportunity

As Admin Officer within MLHD Musculoskeletal Services, you will provide administrative and clerical support that keeps the service running smoothly for patients, clinicians and the wider team. You'll be a key point of contact for patients, employees and members of the public, helping ensure everyone who reaches out receives a respectful, helpful and timely response.


As the Admin Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high quality customer service to patients, employees and members of the public, face-to-face and by phone
  • Completing a range of operational, clerical and administrative tasks using the MS Suite (including Excel and Teams), including admissions, transfers and discharges, record management, and booking services and appointments
  • Managing postal and other correspondence, filing, typing, deliveries, pickups, purchasing and stores management
  • Providing assistance with more complex tasks or projects, and relief for other staff as required
  • Supporting the manager and team with quality activities and ongoing improvement of local processes

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in a similar support role within a complex organisation, working effectively as part of a team
  • Sound judgement, with the ability to make good decisions about work priorities and achieve key tasks in a busy work area
  • Strong communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders, with careful attention to detail
  • High level computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft and Windows based applications, email and record keeping systems
  • A genuine commitment to excellent customer service, including maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
  • The initiative to work well within known procedures while operating under broad supervision
