Administration Officer Level 3 - Nephrology Department - Prince of Wales Hospital

Are you an organised and dedicated administration professional looking to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services?

SESLHD is seeking an enthusiastic Administrative Officer to provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support within the Dialysis Services team. This role plays an important part in ensuring efficient, effective, and patient-focused services for our patients, families, and healthcare teams.

You will provide a broad range of administrative support, including reception duties, responding to enquiries, maintaining confidential records, data entry, document management, procurement activities, and supporting the coordination of day-to-day service requirements.

Working closely with the Nursing Unit Manager and the wider multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will contribute to the smooth operation of Dialysis Services and assist with service improvement initiatives, quality activities, and workplace safety practices.

Where you'll be working
Prince of Wales Hospital is a 440 bed tertiary referral facility with specialties unique to this campus such as spinal cord injuries and interventional neuroradiology. Each year we care for more than 58,000 patients in our emergency department and have around 50,000 patients admitted to the inpatient units. We also have busy community health and outpatient services and rural outreach services that provide more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year.

Selection Criteria

  1. Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks in a demanding workload 

  2. Ability to respond to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment 

  3. High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills 

  4. Demonstrated commitment to providing quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures 

  5. Ability to use computer hardware, software applications and electronic systems in accordance with policy and procedure

  6. Flexibility and willingness to work across multiple sites (Waverley and Randwick) as requested by the Nursing Unit Manager
