About the role
Western NSW Local Health District is seeking an Administration Officer Level 2 to provide high-quality customer service and administrative support within a busy healthcare environment. The successful applicant will respond to face-to-face and telephone enquiries in a respectful and professional manner, assisting patients, staff and members of the public to access appropriate services while contributing to a positive experience of the Health Service. The role includes a broad range of operational and administrative duties such as admissions and discharges support, appointment bookings, medical record management, correspondence, data entry, filing, stores management and other general office functions to support the efficient operation of the facility.
Applicants should demonstrate broad administrative experience in a complex organisation, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment. The role requires competency in common information and communication technologies, a commitment to excellent customer service, and an understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality requirements. The successful candidate will be adaptable, able to learn new tasks quickly, and work collaboratively with health service teams to ensure continuity of service and effective workload management.
