About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and community-focused Administration Officer to join our team at Eastlakes Community Health Centre. This is a key front-facing role, acting as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors, while providing essential administrative support to clinical and non-clinical staff.
Our centre delivers a broad range of adult-focused community health services both in the clinic and in patients’ homes. You will play an important role in supporting culturally safe, respectful, and accessible healthcare services for the local community.
You will be part of a supportive and professional team committed to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people and the wider community.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide welcoming, culturally safe, and respectful customer service, both face-to-face and via telephone

  • Greet patients and community members, complete check-ins, and notify clinicians of arrivals

  • Respond to phone and email enquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record systems

  • Complete billing, data entry, and general administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy

  • Support daily operations, including ordering, invoicing, and coordination tasks

  • Maintain organised and confidential filing systems in line with privacy requirements

 

About You

You are a reliable and organised administration professional who is passionate about supporting your community and contributing to culturally safe healthcare services. You enjoy working with people and can manage a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.


You will demonstrate:

  • A commitment to providing culturally safe and person-centred customer service

  • Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Confidence using computer systems, with the ability to learn new platforms

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment

 

Essential Requirements

  • This is an identified position for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants

  • Eligibility to drive in NSW

  • Eligibility to work in Australia (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen with a valid passport)
