About the Role
As an Administrative Officer within the John Hunter Outpatients Clinics and Contact Centre, you will be the first point of contact for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. You will deliver professional, efficient, and compassionate administrative support across a large and diverse outpatient service.
This role is essential in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations while contributing to positive patient experiences and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service both face-to-face and via telephone/email
- Manage patient enquiries, registrations, and appointment coordination
- Accurately maintain electronic medical records and documentation systems
- Perform billing, invoicing, and ordering tasks
- Support clinical and non-clinical staff with administrative duties
- Maintain organised and confidential filing systems in line with privacy standards
- Prioritise competing tasks while ensuring accuracy and efficiency
