About your new job
You will be stationed in the Outpatient Centre at Tamworth Hospital, offering front-line customer service to individuals who are referred to our range of specialties.

Team Structure:

  • You will work within a collaborative 12-person team, with great support from your colleagues
  • The administration team rotate working on the front desk of the outpatient centre and in a shared office space, offering great variety in tasks and responsibilities
  • Learn and be guided by an experienced and knowledgeable administration manager who will provide ongoing support 
  • Comprehensive training will be provided across all systems, with a buddy system in place for initial training until you're comfortable and confident in the role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Check in patients and assist with follow-up appointments
  • Manage incoming referrals and correspondence, ensuring proper handling and documentation
  • Oversee and manage waitlists, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling

Work Schedule:

  • Shifts generally run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM 
  • You will be required to work some 7:00 AM or 8:30 AM shifts, on a rotating roster
