Manage patient administration, coordinate essential ward services and create positive experiences for patients, families and clinical teams in a busy Colorectal and UGI ward.

Remuneration: $34.93 - $36.09 Per hour  
Hours Per Week: 33 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)
Location: Westmead Hospital

What you'll be doing 
As an Administration Clerk Level 2, you will provide essential administrative and customer service support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the ward. Your ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and communicate effectively will contribute to a positive experience for patients, carers and staff.

  • Accurately admit, transfer and discharge patients while maintaining data integrity through iPM

  • Provide professional reception services and respond to enquiries from patients, families and staff

  • Coordinate administrative activities including transport, interpreter and pastoral care services

  • Manage patient records, ward documentation and statistical data in line with hospital requirements

  • Support nursing staff through effective communication, information management and clerical assistance

  2. Demonstrated clerical or administration experience in a health, hospital or medical environment

  5. Demonstrated experience in dealing with patients/customers and their families//carers

  6. Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team environment

  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills
