Where you’ll be working
 
Royal North Shore Hospital St Leonard's within the Acute Care Occupational Therapy Team and part of the wider Occupational Therapy Department.

What you'll be doing
You will be providing Occupational Therapy acute care expertise in assessment, interventions, recommendations and discharge planning as part of the high level of patient care provided to our patients by the acute care team and be a part of the weekend cover roster.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist Level 2.
  2. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals and/or Allied Health Assistants.
  3. Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current occupational therapy practice. A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
  4. Demonstrated proficiency in ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
