Where you'll be working

Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. What you'll be doing

The role exists to ensure the effective, safe, and efficient operation of the Medical Imaging Department by leading workforce management, equipment compliance, and day‑to‑day service delivery. It provides operational leadership, supports and develops radiographers and allied health assistants, ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, maintains service continuity and supporting service improvement and work practice change. 
 
Selection Criteria

 
  1. Possession of AHPRA Medical Radiation Practitioner registration and EPA radiation licence.
  2. Demonstrate leadership and management experience, including capital asset management, and leading and managing organisational change.
  3. Demonstrated ability to engage multi-disciplinary teams with the development of detailed solution design and implementation plans relating to redesign initiatives and provide education and direction to project team.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management and Human Resources Information System and process.
  5. Demonstrated extensive experience in managing imaging operations across multiple locations, optimising service delivery through effective coordination and close collaboration with other craft group managers to achieve efficient and integrated service outcomes.
  6. Highly developed and effective written and communication skills with experience in the development of executive documentation including brief and business case.
  7. Proven experience in Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme and hospital accreditation process, particularly in preparation, submission and presentation.
  8. Previous extensive experience at Assistant Chief Radiographer level.
