As a Female Sexual Assault Worker in the Sexual Assault Service, you will play a vital role in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who have experienced sexual violence. Selection Criteria 

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

1. In this role being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a genuine occupational requirement. Tell us about your mob and connection to culture? 
2. Degree in Social Work, Psychology or other relevant counselling degree deemed appropriate by employer or completion in in the ECAV pathway, with demonstrated cultural expertise. 
3. Demonstrated ability to create Aboriginal community connections, engagement and collaboration to affect outcomes with an understanding of intergenerational trauma, child sexual abuse and the principles of family focused intervention with the ability to engage with      young people who have sexually harmed and with their families. 
4. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills in combination with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a small therapeutic team. 
5. Demonstrated experience participating in and/or leading of quality improvement activities and service development and evaluation. 
6. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
