- In this role being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a genuine occupational requirement. Tell us about your mob and connection to culture?
- Willingness and ability to complete further education in Mental Health or relevant qualification e.g., Certificate IV Mental Health; Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health) qualification at Charles Sturt University or an equivalent clinical qualification negotiated and approved by the Mental Health Service.
- Describe how you have provided culturally safe and recovery-oriented mental health support to Aboriginal individuals and families. In your response, please include examples of how you incorporated cultural perspectives into clinical practice, collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, and ensured alignment with relevant legislation such as the NSW Mental Health Act 2007.
- How have you engaged with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders to promote mental health awareness and improve access toculturally appropriate services?
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
