About the Role
The Aboriginal Health Worker transitioning to an Aboriginal Health Practitioner role works as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide Aboriginal primary health care services to Aboriginal people, families and community members engaging with services in SLHD and our broader community to achieve better health outcomes.

Ideal Candidate
- Holds a Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice) and a current authority to practice as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) OR be working towards and currently enrolled in a Certificate IV to enable transition to Aboriginal Health Practitioner classification.
This is an Identified Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Position. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal descent through parentage, identification as being Aboriginal and being accepted in the community as such. Exemption is claimed under Section 14 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1977.
