Join our team as the Sterilisation Services Floor Manager and play a pivotal role in leading a dynamic team to deliver exceptional sterilisation services in a fast-paced healthcare environment. In this key position, you'll support the District Manager, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure continuous, high-quality service delivery while adhering to NSW Health standards. You'll provide leadership and direction to staff, manage workforce and operational challenges, and implement training and quality improvement initiatives. With a focus on compliance, safety, and team development, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a crucial department. Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

·         Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.

  • A completed Certificate III in Sterilisation Services and demonstrated sound knowledge of AS/NZS 4187 and Infection Prevention and Control principles, or equivalent experience.
  • A completed Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or enrolled and willing to obtain, or equivalent experience.
