An exciting opportunity exists for a Women’s Health Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS 2) 2 days per week in Targeted Clinical services, Public & Population Health who will provide expert clinical care and advice to clients with complex health care needs relating to Women’s Health.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 is a clinical expert who, through leadership facilitates excellence in research based clinical practice, education, research and professional leadership. Service delivery targets short term clinical services for women who experience disadvantage and support referral to and engagement with mainstream services for their ongoing care.

This is a clinical position providing Well Women’s Clinics, cervical screening, support with medical termination of pregnancy and education sessions. This autonomous position is responsible for the provision of services across both the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions in primary, outreach and community settings.

A little about us.

As a part of the new Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services Project, a new Community Health Centre is being built on the old Port Kembla Hospital site. Located on Dharawal Country, Warrawong Community Health Centre will bring together a range of services including community mental health, drug and alcohol, community nursing, and child and family services.

Until the new Community Centre is complete, some allied health services will continue to operate out of the Port Kembla Hospital site.
