An exciting leadership opportunity exists to lead and mentor a team of Youth Health Promotion Consultants within the Social Wellbeing Team, Population Health Promotion at NSLHD.

Royal North Shore Community Health Centre

What you'll be doing
Within this role you will partner with young people to plan and deliver youth health promotion initiatives, build the capacity of NSLHD to respond to the particular population health needs of young people, as well as support the team's flagship Domestic & Family Violence Program, The Grand Stand.

The role will require evening work (every second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 6.30pm-8.30pm) and additional weekend work where required.



People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.


Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in health/behavioural/population health science
  2. Can you describe a time when you were involved in managing a youth-focused program, including coordinating, mentoring, and supervising young people.
  3. Can you demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of strategies that support best practices in youth health promotion, including a comprehensive awareness of current health issues affecting youth populations and the approaches used to address key priorities in youth health promotion.
  4. Can you describe your experience that highlights your ability to engage, negotiate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders?
