You’ll be based at Westmead Hospital, the flagship facility of Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), and lead security operations across Auburn, Cumberland, Blacktown, and Mount Druitt Hospitals, as well as community health centres. What you'll be doing
As the Security Services Manager, you will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership for all security services across WSLHD. You’ll lead the implementation of a new district-wide security strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation and NSW Health standards while driving innovation and efficiency.
Oversee security operations across multiple hospitals and health facilities
Develop and implement robust security risk management processes
Ensure compliance with the Security Industry Act 1997 and NSW Health standards
Lead planning and improvement initiatives for security services
Manage budgets, staffing, and agency contracts to deliver cost-effective solutions

Demonstrated superior leadership, change management and people management skills, particularly in managing teams and resources, to ensure provision of a high quality focused customer service.
Ability to present a credible and authoritative image to internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflict constructively and creatively, with an exposure to working with unions around various ER/IR issues
Extensive experience in managing security issues within a complex organisation and strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing and motivational skills which demonstrate a capacity to build and maintain relationships with a diverse stakeholder group
Demonstrated ability to manage the development and monitoring of systems to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with WHS obligations and a commitment and capacity to implement, and provide leadership in government policies and practices, including EEO, cultural diversity, ethical practice and continuous improvement.
Proven ability to analyse and interpret complex business issues and prepare appropriate responses and recommendations.
Demonstrated high-level time-management skills and capacity to deliver high quality business correspondence and responses within agreed timeframes.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer based software including CCTV monitoring & recording, Microsoft Office
