About the Role

Concord Centre for Mental Health is committed to improving mental health for people and our communities by providing quality mental health services in partnership with consumers, families and service providers by providing quality healthcare, delivery of safe appropriate care, ensuring access to services, supporting our workforce, and working closely with the local community to manage the changing demand for services. 

The position is responsible for coordinating and managing the Work Health and Safety (WHS) portfolio throughout the Mental Health Service, and act as a consultancy service to the Executive, managers and staff, promoting and increasing awareness of WHS to enable compliance with statutory requirements and strategic directions. This role is also responsible for the initiation, development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive WHS program, as well as providing data and analysis of the program's effectiveness and implementing appropriate prevention strategies.

Ideal Candidate

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS and/or significant experience working at a senior level in this specialist area and current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
  • Demonstrated expertise in computer applications, with skills in collection and analysis of data and the presentation of information for reporting purposes to management.
