 About the opportunity:

 

The Lead Dental Officer will provide clinical leadership to the Dental Officer staff across the Local Health District and provide governance of the Oral Health Fee for Service Scheme (OHFFSS).

As a maternity relief position, this is an excellent opportunity to develop clinical leadership skills and support the strategic direction of the Oral Health Service.

The successful applicant will continue to undertake clinical activity.

1.      Exceptional competence and clinical decision making in general dentistry with a proven record for carrying out a broad range of advanced and complex procedures, without supervision.

2.      Experience in clinical mentoring, education and supervision of Dental Officers and students on clinical placement.

3.      Demonstrated leadership in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on clinical service delivery.
