About the role
The Wardsperson provides support to the nursing team in the delivery of patient care as directed by nursing staff, general assistance in wards, cleaning duties and portering for patient transfers around the facility.
This position will consist of undertaking a range of cleaning duties as outlined in the daily schedule, including high level cleaning and outside cleaning. You will provide general assistance in the ward / facility including moving equipment, making unoccupied beds to ensure the smooth running of the facility.
There will be consistent adherence to safe manual handling and infection prevention & control guidelines to complete all duties.
You would need to complete documents and reports for this role in a timely manner to ensure adequate communication with other staff.
The hours of work would be 0630 to 1500.
The Team is only small and everyone is easy to get along with and happy to help others when asked.
