About the Role
The Administration Officer Level 2 provides efficient and effective administrative support within a busy healthcare setting. Often the first point of contact for patients, families, clinicians and visitors, this role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the facility.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the role reports directly to the relevant Manager, NUM or Department Supervisor and contributes to the delivery of professional and patient-centred healthcare services.
Daily responsibilities may include:
- Reception and frontline customer service
- Managing phone and email enquiries
- Patient administration and electronic record management
- Data entry and maintaining accurate documentation
- Scheduling, filing and general clerical support
- Supporting clinicians and managers with administrative tasks
- Working across multiple computer systems and adapting to changing priorities

- Ability to apply knowledge of electronic systems and computer software to achieve job outcomes

Desirable Criteria
The following skills and experience are desirable and can also be developed on the job:
- Previous healthcare or hospital administration experience
- Knowledge of NSW Health systems and processes
- Experience using electronic medical record systems including SDPR/DMR
- Further education or professional development in administration or health services
Training and Support
Successful candidates will receive structured orientation and ongoing support from experienced administration officers and team members.
Education and training will be provided to support development in local systems, processes and workflows, including SDPR and other NSW Health platforms.
