Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dedicated Visiting Medical Officer to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital
The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Gastroenterology (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Gastroenterology Department and Hospital as required.
This position is required to provide Gastroenterology/Hepatology/Inflammatory Bowel Disease consultant services, including procedural Endoscopic services (including emergency endoscopic interventions) and intestinal ultrasound in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, within Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be a current registered Medical practitioner, registered or eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Gastroenterology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition, with demonstrated experience and accreditation in Inflammatory Bowel Disease management and research.
Position is currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from date of application, may be considered.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
