What you'll be doing
To provide a high standard of clinical care to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in the practice of Urgent Care.
To provide effective clinical management of patients, meaning inpatients, outpatients, and any patients seen in community and outreach clinics, under appropriate supervision, including patient assessment, making treatment decisions, performing procedures and maintaining adequate medical records; and to develop expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Two or more years of clinical experience in an acute Australian Health Facility in the last 3 years.
- Experience in Emergency Medicine and General Practice preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to General Medicine, including involvement in morbidity and mortality meetings and other parameters of peer review.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills and judgment and expertise.
- A professional attitude and flexibility in work roles with a preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters.
- Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively and communicate effectively with other staff and practitioners as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, computer literacy, and demonstrated problem solving and time management skills.
- Experience and/or interest in Emergency Medicine or General Practice, with experience in acute paediatrics desirable
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of clinical governance and quality and safety protocols and practices.
