Royal North Shore Hospital is a principal tertiary referral hospital for Northern Sydney Local Health District providing a comprehensive range of complex services to patients from across NSW. Royal North Shore Hospital provides specialty services including major trauma, severe burns, spinal cord injuries, neonatal intensive care, bone marrow transplantation, neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology alongside acute medical, surgical, mental health, paediatric, cancer and maternity services. What you'll be doing

The primary purpose of a Trainee in Obstetrics & Gynaecology is to provide Gynaecological services, under supervision, as part of an Integrated Training Program (ITP), for medical officers in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, based at the Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards. The program satisfies the requirements of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), for Membership and Fellowship. This position involves general experience in labour floor management and gynaecology operating. Possible subspecialty rotations include gynaecological oncology, urogynaecology, fetomaternal medicine and laparoscopic surgery. Medical officers will be required to rotate through a term of night duty. Peripheral rotations include Northern Beaches Hospital, Gosford, Hornsby, Ryde and Port Macquarie Base Hospitals as well as Coffs Harbor Hospital.

  7. Commitment to participating in training and development opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in the area of anaesthesia
  8. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases

To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy PD2024_015, this includes any amendments made from time to time.
