This role will be the perfect opportunity to work with South Western Sydney Local Health District's procurement team. Here, you will have the chance to continuously develop your skillset whilst also expanding your network. 

  • Join South Western Sydney Local Health District's Procurement team and play a key role in delivering sourcing and tendering initiatives that support high ­quality healthcare services across one of NSW's largest health districts.  
  • Lead complex procurement projects from planning through to contract award, helping secure innovative, cost-effective solutions that deliver value for patients, staff and the community.  
  • Work collaboratively with clinical, corporate and statewide stakeholders to shape procurement strategies, strengthen supplier partnerships and support service excellence across the District. 
  • Be part of an experienced and supportive Procurement team committed to continuous improvement, strong governance and building procurement capability across diverse categories and services.  
  • Contribute to SWSLHD's Transforming Your Experience strategy by supporting safe, high-quality and personalized healthcare through effective sourcing, commercial expertise and procurement leadership. 
     
 

Are You the Right Fit? 
The perfect candidate for this role will have a good blend of strong organisational skills, as well as being able to confidently communicate to stakeholders. 

  • You are a highly organised procurement professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple sourcing and tender activities while maintaining accuracy, compliance and quality outcomes.  
  • You are an active listener and effective communicator who can build trusted relationships with clinical, operational and corporate stakeholders and translate business needs into practical procurement solutions. 
  • You are confident leading negotiations and influencing outcomes, balancing stakeholder expectations with value-for-money, risk and governance requirements. 
  • You will have experience delivering end-to-end procurement and tendering activities in a large and complex environment, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional procurement credentials such as MCIPS or Diploma of Procurement and Contract Management . 
 

Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or procurement certifications (e.g., MCIPS).
  • Describe a complex sourcing or tendering project that you managed from planning through to contract award. Outline your approach, key challenges, how you managed stakeholders, and the outcome achieved.
  • Provide an example of how you have used procurement systems and documentation processes to support governance, compliance and successful procurement outcomes.
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
