Where you’ll be working
You’ll join the renal service at Manning Hospital in Taree, a place known for its strong community spirit and riverside charm. Our renal team is made up of around 20 to 24 passionate nurses from diverse backgrounds who genuinely care about their patients and each other.
You’ll work across three great settings:
- The Dialysis Ward on Level 3 with six chairs for inpatient dialysis
- The Nita Reed Renal Unit with 10 beds supporting outpatient and community patients
- The Foster Satellite Unit, a six-bed service for very stable dialysis patients
- The vibe here is warm, inclusive, and supportive. We celebrate milestones, enjoy a good afternoon tea, and create a workplace where people feel welcome and valued. No night shifts either, which is always a win.
About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Educator in Renal, you’ll be the go-to person for learning, growth and best practice. Your days will be a mix of mentoring, coaching and guiding nurses to feel confident in their skills and proud of the care they deliver.
You’ll run education sessions, support new grads and students, coordinate orientation programs and provide one on one learning on the floor. You’ll work closely with nurse managers, educators and CNCs to build engaging education programs that actually make a difference.
You’ll still stay clinically connected, stepping into care when needed so your teaching always feels real and relevant. From life support skills to manual handling and catheter care, you’ll help keep standards high and outcomes even higher.
Why you’ll love it
This role is perfect if you love helping others grow. You get to shape the next generation of nurses, build confidence in your team and see the impact of your teaching every single day. Plus, you’ll enjoy:
- No night shifts and no on call
- Morning or afternoon shifts Monday to Saturday
- An expanded scope of practice
- Real career development opportunities
- A team that truly has your back
About you
You’re a Registered Nurse who loves teaching just as much as caring. You’re confident sharing knowledge, great at communicating and passionate about evidence based practice. You enjoy mentoring, giving feedback and creating learning moments in everyday work.
You’re open to growing too, whether that’s completing your Cert IV in Training and Assessment, becoming credentialed in DETECT, triage or ALS, or jumping into quality improvement projects.
How you’ll be supported
You’ll feel supported from day one with a four week novice training package if you’re new to the role. You’ll work closely with a strong leadership team including CNCs, CNSs, the NUM and Clinical NUM. Ongoing professional development is encouraged, and there are real opportunities to step up and shape your career as you go.
