Taree Community Health is seeking a Level 2 Administration Officer to join our dynamic and supportive team within Integrated Care Services – Hunter & Lower Mid North Coast.

This is an opportunity to work alongside skilled clinicians, supportive administration staff and experienced management, contributing to the delivery of patient-centred care and quality health services across the Manning area. We are looking for someone who is friendly, professional and adaptable, with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to providing a positive experience for patients, carers, families and health professionals.

 

About the role

As an Administration Officer, you will be an important first point of contact for clients accessing Taree Community Health and will provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to our clinical and non-clinical teams.

The role will involve working across Taree Community Health and Pulteney Street Administration Offices and will include:

  • Providing friendly and professional face-to-face and telephone customer service.
  • Responding to client enquiries and providing accurate and appropriate information.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for patients, carers, families and other stakeholders.
  • Updating client demographic and contact information.
  • Opening and managing service requests.
  • Booking and coordinating appointments.
  • Scanning, uploading and maintaining documentation within electronic systems.
  • Preparing information and documentation for mail-outs.
  • Providing general administrative support to clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Assisting with ordering, invoicing and other administrative processes.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • Prioritising daily workloads and completing tasks within required timeframes.
  • Undertaking other administrative duties as required to support the smooth operation of the service.


This position reports to the Service Manager, Integrated Care Services Hunter & Lower Mid North Coast.

 

About you

Previous experience working in a healthcare or community health environment will be highly regarded.

 

Support and development

You will be supported to succeed in this role. The successful applicant will receive comprehensive workplace training and support from experienced Level 2 Administration Officers. You will also undertake training in relevant patient management and electronic health record systems.

Our experienced team will provide guidance and encouragement as you develop your skills and confidence, supporting you to progressively work towards independence in the role.
