About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. 

  

In this role, you will:

  • Answer incoming and outgoing calls at a major hospital site.
  • Perform paging of emergency groups for e.g. cardiac arrest and trauma groups.
  • Required to perform routine clerical duties.
  • Provide an effective, efficient, timely and courteous service to patients, visitors, the public and staff. 

   

This is a full-time position; however, part-time applications may be considered. Successful candidates must be available to work a rotating roster, including night shifts.

Ideal Candidate

  • Able to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, demonstrating a flexible work attitude.
  • Has experience assisting the public, staff and clients in a high volume environment with the ability to provide assistance in a polite, clear, well-spoken and calm manner in all circumstances. 
  • Can demonstrate experience in the operation of hospital switchboards and paging systems.
  • Possesses the ability to manage multiple tasks in an organised manner with high attention to detail.
