Occupational Therapist Level 5: $126,240.00 - $129,309.00 per annum
Social Worker Level 5: $126,240.00 - $129,309.00 per annum
Nurse Unit Manager Level 2: $133,112.75 per annum
Clinical Psychologist: $105,553.00 - $128,653.00 per annum

About the Services

We are establishing two key services in Macarthur and Liverpool:

  • TZS Safe Haven Café – a welcoming, non-clinical space for people in distress.
  • TZS Suicide Prevention Outreach Service (SPOT) – providing timely, community-based support.

These services are already operating in Campbelltown, and we are now expanding to Liverpool. As TZS Team Leader, you will oversee both sites, working closely with two Senior Peer Support Workers to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.

What You'll be Doing
The Team Leader is responsible for the leadership, guidance and line management of the Towards Zero Suicides team in collaboration with their manager.

They provide supervision, support and clinical expertise within Mental Health services for the delivery of safe, timely, compassionate and high quality, recovery focused and person-centered care. They are involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting on services. They identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, as well as service delivery and develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff and teams within the district.

How to Apply

  1. Relevant qualifications as either:
    - Occupational Therapist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
    -  Qualified Social Worker which provides eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) 
    -  Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with full endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology or eligibility to progress to ‘Clinical Psychology Endorsement’ with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent. 
    -  Registered Nurse, currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Describe your experience providing leadership to a clinical team, and how your leadership has empowered the team to deliver safe, recovery-focused, compassionate care within an acute, community-based context.
  3. Provide an overview of your extensive clinical knowledge, skills and experience in the field of mental health.
  4. Explain how you have used your interpersonal and communication skills to negotiate and manage conflict, while maintaining a positive workplace culture.
  5. Give an example of your ability to drive quality improvements in a team environment to improve current practice.
  6. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
