About the Role
Sydney Education has been delivering education services for almost 20 years. Sydney Education is previously known as the Centre for Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) which was established in 2005 with the amalgamation of the former Central Sydney Area Health Service and the South Western Sydney Area Health Service into the Sydney South West Area Health Service. At that time, we were one of the few education services that combined both clinical and non-clinical education under one directorate.
You will be responsible for facilitation of undergraduate nursing students during clinical placements in SLHD in collaboration with the Sydney Education team, facility Clinical Nurse Educators and Nurse Unit Managers. During facilitation, students are supported to consolidate of skills and knowledge in order to guide the application of theory to practice in a clinical setting. You will also enable students to meet the professional and clinical requirements of undergraduate nurses to gain competency skills and to comply with SLHD and NSW Health CORE values.

Ideal Candidate
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Relevant post registration clinical or education qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
- Commitment to professional development of self and others including reflective practice and the ability to identify areas for growth.
- Experience in clinical teaching, supervision and assessment of students or staff and an awareness and understanding of nursing student curriculum.
- Experience in effective use of assessment tools to evaluate clinical performance and deliver constructive feedback.
