Within our specialised stroke service, you’ll work alongside a small, passionate group of clinicians committed to providing comprehensive, compassionate and evidence-based stroke care. About the role:
Based at Armidale Hospital, you will:

  • Coordinate and streamline stroke care pathways
  • Support clinicians in delivering evidence-based stroke management
  • Provide education to staff across the service
  • Work closely with patients and families throughout the recovery journey
  • Contribute to clinical audits and service improvement initiatives
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes


This role offers a unique blend of clinical expertise, leadership and service development. You’ll work independently, prioritising complex needs while playing a key role in driving stroke excellence across the hospital.

About you:
We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about stroke care and committed to evidence-based practice
  • Is a confident communicator and natural educator
  • Is comfortable working autonomously and leading service improvements
  • Is an experienced nurse or allied health professional with a desire to grow
  • Has a strong clinical background and commitment to best-practice stroke care.



Support and Development:
You won’t be stepping into this alone. We will provide:

  • Structured orientation to the stroke service
  • Training in Telestroke pathways
  • Education in national stroke care standards
  • Support in clinical auditing and quality improvement processes
