Your new role:

To provide services in the Central Sterilisation Services Department within Sutherland Hospital, with responsibilities for handling, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilisation, and circulation of Reusable Medical Devices throughout the Sutherland Hospital.
The Sterilisation Technician Grade 3 will perform the tasks of a Sterilisation Technician Grade 2 and assist the Central Sterilising Services Manager in carrying out the functions of the Sterilising Department and support and guide staff in their daily work routines.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing. Please note we are not offering sponsorship for work rights for this position.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Certificate in Sterilisation Technology.
- Capable of prioritising work within established routines and procedures and responsible for work performed with a high level of accountability or discretion.
- Work under limited supervision, either individually or in a small team.
- Possess sound communication skills.
- Motivated to work independently to meet deadlines and maintain standards according to HSO's Policies and Procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task with well-developed organizational skills and sound knowledge of National and International Standards pertaining to Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices.
