What you'll be doing
As a Sterilisation Technician, you will ensure the safe reprocessing and supply of reusable medical devices and equipment. This critical role supports hospital services and contributes directly to patient safety.
Collect, clean, pack and sterilise medical instruments and equipment
Operate and maintain sterilising equipment including washers, sterilisers and sealers
Conduct routine testing, record results and report issues promptly
Prioritise tasks to meet urgent hospital requirements
Apply infection control practices and adhere to WHS standards

Essential Criteria:
Qualifications: Sterilisation Services Certificate III
Selection Criteria:
Certificate in sterilising services and experience in working in a Hospital Sterilising services department one year or more
Sound understanding and Knowledge of infection Control requirements , Standards AS/NZ 4187 and ISO in a health care setting
Demonstrated communication skills – including Verbal, Written and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and busy environment with changing priorities and work demands
Knowledge and understanding of WH&S legislation and Manual handling techniques to maintain safety in the workplace
Physically capable of performing all duties-including chemical handling, Biological hazards, Standing for long periods, lifting pushing and pulling loads
