Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dedicated Staff Specialist to join our team in the Sydney Virtual Hospital Virtual Care Centre!
Sydney Virtual Hospital is Australia’s first Virtual Hospital and provides a personalised service for people in the community – a new way of caring. The Sydney Virtual Care Centre is able to connect with patients and their carers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by utilising technology to build on the legacy of expert staff, providing excellent patient and family centred care in the community.
The primary purpose of the role of the Staff Specialist in the Virtual Care Centre is to provide high-quality clinical care and to work with the Clinical Director with the planning, development, implementation and delivery of the broad range of innovative virtual models of care across the clinical spectrum and healthcare system.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be a current registered Medical practitioner, registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
Position is currently available.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
