- Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and Specialist Registration with AHPRA

HNEMH provides a wide range of mental health services throughout the Hunter New England Health district, supported by over 1,600 staff. Our care spans all ages and levels - from early intervention to inpatient and community-based recovery services. We’re dedicated to providing person-centred care, advancing research, and fostering education and training across all disciplines.
Our Locations Include:
Manning Mental Health Service (Taree): Serving the Lower Mid-North Coast with inpatient care at Manning Hospital and a range of community services.
Greater Newcastle Mental Health Service: Delivering inpatient care at the Mater Mental Health Centre in Waratah and community services across Newcastle and Charlestown.
Our services are structured by geographic areas and age groups - child & adolescent, adult, and older persons - and are supported by skilled multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, registrars, allied health, nurses, and administrative staff. Consultants work collaboratively and may provide peer support and cross-cover across the Greater Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions.
