What you'll be doing
 

Provide specialist clinical services for optimal patient outcomes within the Emergency/Critical Care setting including education and training of medical and nursing staff and the junior medical officers within the Emergency/Critical Care Departments. 



This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.
 
TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.

  1. Registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Emergency Physician and Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) within 12 months of appointment.
  2. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an Emergency/Critical Care Department at the role delineation of the service.
  3. Demonstrated clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
  5. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
  7. Availability to participate in the Emergency/Critical Care Department on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
  8. Current drivers license and willingness to travel throughout the LDH as required.
