Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Sonographer who is ready for a new adventure. BreastScreen NSW is part of the national program BreastScreen Australia, which is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and state and territory governments.
Managed by the Cancer Institute NSW, the BreastScreen NSW Coordination Unit program is delivered by nine Screening and Assessment Services which are located and managed within Local Health Districts, including Murrumbidgee Local Health District.
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Sonographer to join our team on a casual basis to provide quality sonographic services within our BreastScreen service.
As a BreastScreen Sonographer, you will be responsible for:
Performing ultrasound examinations and assisting with ultrasound biopsy procedures as directed by the radiologist.
Maintaining knowledge on the latest developments in breast imaging and participate in CPD
Treating clients in a courteous and professional manner having regard to their rights to privacy, dignity, confidentiality and cultural diversity
Adhering to and maintaining ultrasound quality control activities for the site and work on quality assurance, write procedures relating to ultrasound

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Possession of a Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography (or equivalent) with current ASAR registration as a general or breast sonographer.
Ability to work as part of a Multidisciplinary team with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in screening and diagnostic breast ultrasound and PACS systems with knowledge of quality assurance.
