About the role and where you will be working
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Level 3 Social Worker to join the Belmont Hospital Social Work team.The role provides clinical social work services across acute, stroke and sub-acute settings, supporting patients and families with complex psychosocial needs. This includes stroke and age-related illness, elder abuse, Guardianship and NDIS matters, grief and bereavement, accommodation and placement, and complex family presentations.The successful applicant will be supported through professional development, clinical supervision and a positive, inclusive team environment. Following induction and orientation, there will also be an opportunity to participate in the JHH Social Work on-call roster.
About You
We are looking for a social worker with:
- Strong clinical experience in acute, stroke and/or sub-acute settings.
- Experience managing complex psychosocial presentations.
- Knowledge of elder abuse, Guardianship, NDIS, grief and bereavement, and discharge planning.
- Strong communication, assessment and advocacy skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to person-centred care and high-quality social work practice.

Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, and a subsequent minimum of 3 years full-time clinical experience.
Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).
Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment
