Looking to take the next step in your social work career? Join a supportive, multidisciplinary mental health team where your expertise, leadership, and psychosocial lens will directly shape recovery-focused care for individuals, families, and the wider community.

Where You’ll Be Working.
You will be based in Maitland, working within the Continuing Care Team for the Hunter Valley Lower Mid North Coast Mental Health Service. This role sits within a supportive multidisciplinary team of clinicians who are committed to delivering holistic, recovery-focused, and least-restrictive care for people living with mental health conditions.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Social Worker Level 3, you will provide high-quality clinical services to consumers and their families and carers, ensuring optimal health outcomes across the continuum of care. You will bring advanced psychosocial expertise to assessment, care planning, and intervention, with a strong focus on culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and family-inclusive practice. You will play a key role in managing and contributing to complex clinical matters, including family and domestic violence, child protection, and homelessness risk. Through collaboration with internal teams and external agencies, you will strengthen continuity of care by linking consumers with appropriate community supports at critical points in their recovery journey. You will also contribute to service planning, mentor less experienced staff and students, and support evaluation and improvement of team activities.

About You
You are a compassionate, capable, and confident Social Worker with a strong commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive practice. You bring sound experience in psychosocial assessment and evidence-based interventions, along with the ability to navigate complexity while maintaining professional and ethical boundaries. Your strong communication skills, leadership capability, and collaborative approach will see you thrive in this senior clinical role.
