About the Role

You will be based at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, a leading tertiary teaching hospital that has provided outstanding healthcare for more than 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the veteran community, the hospital now delivers a comprehensive range of specialist and general health services to the communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood, and surrounding areas.

    

The Social Worker will be part of a supportive and dynamic Social Work Department comprising of clinicians and student social workers who work collaboratively within a fast-paced multidisciplinary team whilst providing high-quality service to patients and their families across Concord Hospital.

The position will initially be based within the In Reach and Aged Care teams and will participate in the Level 1/2 clinical rotation program, providing opportunities to develop knowledge and skills across a range of specialties.

Concord Hospital provides a 24-hour, 7-day On-Call Social Work Service and participation in the on-call roster is an essential requirement of this position.

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Demonstrates knowledge, skills and clinical experience in Social Work clinical practice.
  • Has full availability to work a 24/7 On Call roster
