Where you'll be working
The Eurobodalla Regional Hospital (ERH) is a new hospital currently under construction on the stunning Southern NSW coast, set to open in 2027 bringing state-of-the-art facilities and expanded services to the region.
Located in south-east Moruya, under four hours’ drive from Sydney and only two hours from Canberra. ERH will be larger than both the current Batemans Bay and Moruya hospitals combined. Designed with future growth in mind, ERH has the capacity to expand as the needs of the community evolve.

What you'll be doing
Join Eurobodalla Regional Hospital as a Staff Specialist/VMO General Surgeon and play a key role in shaping surgical services within our brand-new hospital. You will provide high-quality general surgical care across a broad range of presentations, work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, support the development of contemporary surgical pathways and contribute to teaching, supervision and clinical improvement. This is an opportunity to bring your expertise to a new facility, help shape how surgical care is delivered and make a lasting difference to the Eurobodalla community.
Selection Criteria
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Surgeon and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Surgery at the role delineation of the service.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time
