Southern NSW Local Health District covers a large area of the state, from Goulburn and Crookwell to the Victorian border, and surrounds the ACT on three sides, a total of 44 537sq kms. It extends from the pristine beaches of the NSW South Coast, the farmlands of the Southern Tablelands, across the picturesque Great Dividing Range and the spectacular Snowy Mountains.
Southern NSWLHD comprises of 2 Networks - Inlands centred around Goulburn, Monaro, Queanbeyan and Cooma, AND Coastal centered around Bega, Batemans Bay and Moruya in the far south-east corner of NSW and the Integrated Care Network.

Where you'll be working
Yass Yass is a town on the periphery of the Southern Tablelands and South West Slopes of New South Wales, Australia. Yass is located 280 km south-west of Sydney, on the Hume Highway, and is 59 km from Canberra.
The charming heritage town of Yass makes a great base for outdoor adventure, and delicious food and wine escapades. You’ll discover fascinating heritage, grand streetscapes and top wineries in this picturesque riverside town. Explore the town’s history and heritage on the Yass Town Walk and see grand Victorian and Edwardian buildings, such as Yass Courthouse, built in the boom of the late 19th century. What you'll be doing
Provide evidence based clinical care to patients within your scope of practice and regularly manage patients with complex treatment needs at oral health facilities across the local health district.

Selection Criteria
Dental qualification eligible for registration as a dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrate highly advanced skills in managing difficult clinical situations and a proven record of carrying out a broad range of advanced and complex dental procedures.
A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventative/population health approach to patient care.
Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality and abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct in line with prescribed NSW Health policies and procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and sensitively with a wide range of individuals.
Proficiency in the use of computer systems including electronic patient records and digital imaging.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances within the Health Service. Evidence of a current Class C drivers licence.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
