What you'll be doing
MHDA Declaration: Each person's unique journey of recovery will be supported by mental health drug and alcohol services in a way that fosters hope, purpose and resilience. MHDA Statement of Intention: The intention of the NSLHD MHDA is to provide recovery-oriented, trauma informed services that are guided by evidence based practices and collaboration. This position is responsible for the day to day clinical and administrative functioning of the NSR CYMHS services. This person is also expected to take a leadership role in the planning of Child and Youth Mental Health Services (CYMHS) in conjunction with the Clinical Director and the Service Director CYMHS. The position is responsible for representing CYMHS on a number of cross area and multidisciplinary committees and working parties. The position will have delegated to it leadership and management of particular priority areas or projects for service provision according to the portfolio management structure of Child and Youth Mental Health Services. The position will participate in an on call after hours rotating roster through the CYMHS Executive and will backfill the position of Service Director when requested.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Relevant experience in the management and leadership of child and /or youth mental health services, particularly within a community mental health setting.
- Relevant post-graduate qualification, working towards and/or equivalent relevant experience including demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality and clinical practice improvement, safety improvement programs and risk management strategies in a mental health context or Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality and clinical practice improvement, safety improvement programs and risk management strategies in a mental health context or capacity to develop this.
