John Hunter Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated senior leader to join our Medical & Interventional Services (M&IS) Leadership Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our community.

About The Role:

As a key member of the M&IS Leadership Team, the successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of medical and interventional specialties. You will champion excellence across all disciplines, ensuring continual improvement in clinical practice, service delivery, safety, and patient outcomes.

This role holds overarching responsibility and accountability for the operational management of Medical & Interventional Services within John Hunter Hospital. You will lead the vision, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of M&IS to ensure the efficient, effective, and timely delivery of high-quality health care services.

  • Provide senior leadership and direction across Medical & Interventional Services.

  • Drive strategic planning, service development, and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality care is delivered to every patient, every time.

  • Foster collaboration across a complex range of professional groups and organisational partners.

  • Oversee operational performance, workforce planning, and resource management.

  • Lead a culture of safety, innovation, and continual improvement.

  • Work closely with the M&IS Leadership Team and the John Hunter Hospital Executive to achieve organisational goals.
