About the Role
Canterbury Hospital is committed to providing high quality healthcare services to our local community, focused on patient and family-centred care.
  

Provide senior clinical leadership within Social Work service provision including optimisation of patient/client care delivery, as well as supporting the mentoring and development of staff including provision of supervision and direction to Level 1/2 staff and students on clinical placements in accordance with the award. This position provides a Social Work service to the Maternity and Paediatrics clinical areas at Canterbury Hospital. The position is required to particiapte in the After Hours On Call Service

Ideal Candidate

  • Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, with Current NSW Driver’s Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of social work, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
