About Our Role
Our Senior Resident Medical Officer in Nuclear Medicine provides clinical care, under appropriate supervision, to patients requiring Nuclear Medicine services in a complex clinical environment. This position will provide experience in Nuclear Medicine techniques and opportunities for autonomous practice commensurate with the level of experience of the incumbent.

Your Primary Location
Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Services is a major teaching hospital and tertiary referral centre based on the Randwick Hospitals Campus. We provide excellent healthcare to SESLHD and specialist health and medical services to NSW. We connect with various universities including the University of New South Wales. Our premier medical facilities enable leading learning opportunities for our staff.
We have 450 inpatient beds and almost 3,000 staff. Each year we care for more than 64,000 patients in our Emergency Department and around 50,000 patients are admitted to our Hospital. We also have a busy outpatient service and rural outreach service and provide more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year.

MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category
Minimum of two (2) years postgraduate clinical experience, with desired interest in Nuclear Medicine and PET.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a supervised environment with history and physical examination skills, including paediatric and cardiology experience.
Demonstrated resuscitation skills and interest in Nuclear Medicine.
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively, including excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated adept ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team with an understanding of the roles of the doctor and other members of the healthcare team.
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self-education, including an interest in research.
