What you'll be doing

This position is primarily designed to benefit junior doctors who wish to pursue a career in urology.
 
The SRMO will provide effective surgical services to patients under supervision in complex clinical environments whilst facilitating the SRMOs preparation for a career in urology.

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia
  2. Minimum (2) two years postgraduate medical experience at commencement of the post with demonstrated surgical experience appropriate to a doctor in the early part of their surgical career
  3. Minimum (6) six months urology experience
  4. Demonstrated commitment to pursuing a career in surgery with a view to future training with RACS. This includes completion of primary RACS Examinations
  5. Evidence of continued professional development appropriate to an early surgical career, commitment to self-directed education and teaching of undergraduates and postgraduates.
  6. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilizing excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise.
  8. Demonstrated effective teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary clinical care team.
