About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
 
The successful applicant will provide physiotherapy services across the Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation programs, working Thursdays and Fridays within a multidisciplinary outpatient setting. The role requires sound clinical knowledge in the assessment and management of patients with respiratory and cardiac conditions, including exercise prescription and progression, respiratory assessment, spirometry, airway clearance techniques, six-minute walk testing, hydrotherapy and telehealth rehabilitation. The position also involves providing individual and group education, supervising students, and contributing to quality improvement and research activities. 

Applicants should have previous experience in pulmonary and/or cardiac rehabilitation or strong acute cardiorespiratory physiotherapy experience.

Ideal Candidate

  • Current AHPRA Physiotherapy Registration and degree, or equivalent, in Physiotherapy, ensuring eligibility for full membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association with experience at Level 2 or higher.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Physiotherapy.
  • Ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as per of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to initiate, lead, complete and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and/or research focused on patient/client outcomes.
