About the Role
Concord Centre for Mental Health is committed to improving mental health for people and our communities by providing quality mental health services in partnership with consumers, families and service providers by providing quality healthcare, delivery of safe appropriate care, ensuring access to services, supporting our workforce, and working closely with the local community to manage the changing demand for services. 

The Level 4 Student Unit Educator is responsible for the coordination of all clinical placements (Occupational Therapy, Diversional Therapy, Allied Health Assistants, where relevant) across the Department and liaising with relevant universities and education providers. The role involves direct supervision of Occupational Therapy students as well as providing support to other staff in the department who are supervising students. The Level 4 Student Unit Educator also carries a rotational/negotiated clinical caseload and provides clinical supervision to allocated staff.

Ideal Candidate

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia as an Occupational Therapist and current NSW Driver’s Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
  • Demonstrated advanced relevant clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of Occupational Therapy.
  • Extensive experience and demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional and therapeutic relationships through the application of written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
