About the Role

Sydney Local Health District’s Community Health Centres have a long and proud history of delivering care in the community including prevention, early intervention, assessment, treatment, health maintenance and continuing care services designed to improve and support the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities. You will be based at Canterbury Community Health Centre.

   

The Senior Occupational Therapist provides clinical governance, leadership and expertise within occupational therapy services including the provision of safe, timely, compassionate and high-quality person-centred care. The position provides senior clinical leadership within the Child and Family Occupational Therapy Service including optimising the delivery of paediatric care, as well as supporting the mentoring and development of staff. The position will be required to provide supervision and direction to Level 1/2 staff, allied health assistants and students on placements in accordance with the award. This position collaborates with other Occupational Therapists to provide a District wide service.

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist (OT) and experience as an OT Level 2 or higher.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and/or research focused on patient/client outcomes.
